Rainy Spring Look //

Today is March 25; in Massachusetts it's the time of year between winter and spring, where one day it reaches 60 degrees and the next, everything is cancelled because of snow. I honestly just want to be able to break out all of my skirts and tank tops and sandals and other spring pieces, but the fluctuating daily weather makes layering a must.

For my look today, I attempted to incorporate some spring wear, but still remain warm in the New England weather. I went with a pair of black leggings, a very loose fitting dress and cardigan, some knit socks, and Doc Martens. The color palette is mainly light, with pinks, yellows, and grays (a tribute to the oncoming season), but also features strong portions of black, which fits with the current winter. //

This look is also a nice mix between carefree bohemian and urban street. The asymmetry, strong patterns, and grunge influence give it an urban look, but the florals, lacy pinks, and draped jewelry incorporate a boho princess vibe. //
